Top pair, top kicker against big blind

I played three hands in junes league that basically finished my 35 minute night.

The blinds at 25/50, I raise to 150 from UTG with

Action folds to BB blind who calls the 100.

Heads up with the BB flop comes

BB checks and I lead 400 with top pair top kicker, a little concerned with the flush draw. I had put the BB blind on a suited connector before the flop.

BB calls the 400

Turn comes

BB again checks and I then bet 900, again still concerned with the flush draw.

BB quickly calls, after this I was pretty sure he was flush drawing.

River comes down

Diffently not concerned with this card, BB leads out a 1000 bet which concerned me because it was such a call me bet. I thought for a few minutes and trusted my read of a suited connector miss. BB HAD

Looks like you played it well Dereck.

Some might suggest that you check the turn, but I would have bet out both the flop and the turn in this situation.

I probably couldn't have folded to his river bet, unless I had a really strong read that I was beat. Even then, I often seem to call when I know I'm beat.
