Columbus Poker Club on the news

Since this concerns brick and mortar games in Columbus, I thought this the best location. If not, mods please move it.

Did anyone happen to see the story on the local (Columbus) news last night about poker clubs in Columbus? It was on NBC. They showed a group in Minerva Park which is upset about the local poker club(s) in their area. I assumed they were referring to Gemini.

The reporter then went to the Everest Club in Grove City. They interviewed the owner, and then did a story on it. The reporter went so far as to say that the clubs are 100% legal. Of course his saying so doesn't make them legal ... but I found it interersting anyway.

Here's a link to the story if you're curious:

Yes, the semi-annual Poker Club story by the local media! We're all evil, lowdown dirty rotten people. Well, some more than others!

Somebodies spouse probably lost all their paycheck and called NBC$ to whine.
I may grow older, but I refuse to grow up!

Interesting article..... However the video does no justice for local Card Clubs. If anything it gives us a negative view..... Why show the same guy who is dealing, also be playing in the tournament/cash game..... Why show the dealers with Sunglasses/Headphones on.... makes for a bad rap! The video does not show the "professionalism" put into some of the local clubs and how they operate.

They don't have dedicated dealers for the tournaments at Evergreen. Which is why you saw several people dealing who were in fact players themselves much like you find at almost all home games.
