    Should I have done this?

Had a hand last night that after looking thru it i just couldnt come to really any other solution than the one that i came to at the table.
(i dont know how to do the fancy cards on here lol)
Im playing a $1-$2NL game with no rake..max buy $100... my regular game
I have 22 in cutoff and i have just over $400 in front of me. its limped around and i limp as well.. big blind raises to 12 (he is the biggest super maniac donkey ive ever seen..raises almost every hand almost any flop) 5players call.. im the biggest stack at the table but i see that all 5players in the pot have over $150 and one has just about $300 and the Agro donk has almost $200 that im sure ima win if hit set.
Flop comes 2s-4s-10h.. Agro donk leads out for $15 and a very solid player next to act raises to $50.. folded to me... So im thinkin that possible flush draw yes of course-or the solid player could be making this play with A10,K10,acutally any 10combo or JJ+ of course cuz the player that raised is SO hyper agro. (the player that bets the $50 has $250 total.. theres already $150 in pot and I KNOW FOR SURE that the donk is guna call off his remaining $40-50bux so i just think for a sec and push...
Well when the other player insta calls me i know im dead to a 2.. he flips over 1010 for top set to have me crushed to 1 out. so i lose. but question here i guess is did i play this hand correctly? GIVEN THE SITUATION WITH THE AGRO PLAYER and my reads on both these players.
Of course 99% of time damn near impossible to not go broke with set vs set, but should i have possibly peeled a card, but then what if spade and i face allin (which woulda made an easier fold).
Just curious to see what everyone has to say. Ive gone over it multiple times and just by the players that were in the hand and the way the hand played out i just cant really see any other way to play the hand im guna go broke no matter what i think, cuz the turn and riv were both bricks that put nothing on board. flush never came no straights or nothign.
LMK your oppinions.. thanx for reading all of this i just dont know how to do the cards and make it easier and shorter..

You're being results oriented... Go broke with a set everytime, it happens.

Ive folded kk to aa pre a few times... nut flush to straight flush. But Im never folding a set on the flop.

    Max 50bb buy in??? Dumb

You wouldnt consider folding a set of fives on a board of 567, or bottom set on a 3 suited board?

Not very often..... You have 40% equity in those situations so you usually have the odds to stack off

i think you played this just fine...tried to iso the hyper aggressive donk for a decent pot. If there wasnt a flush draw, i my advocate just flatting the $50, but either way i think you played it well.

Its never easy folding a hand like that. You have to truly know the player you are playing against in order to fold bottom set. I have been in that identical situation with 222 only we were about $950 deep and 6 people saw the flop. I folded bottom set on an 8c 5c 2h board. It was for my whole stack on the flop. When its for smaller stacks I think you have to go broke almost everytime.
The only thing you might have been able to do is reraise to $120 and watch the very solid players next move. Would he go broke right there with one pair? IF he wouldnt then you might convince yourself to fold. You just really need to know your opponents to make that fold.
