Just heard from Kathleen---

She is sitting at the "Feature" table of the day. Several pros are on it, including Mark Seif, and they are filming in the main gallery.

Poker Stars are paying her to wear a PS hat and shirt, so she's already a winner!!

Watch for her on tv, and I'll keep you all posted!

Does PokerStars make her sign a contract or anything? Or do they hand her a shirt and a check?

Wow. How do some people get that lucky??? There are over 1500 people playing today, and one of 10 people got to play in the gallery and be taped for tv. And Kathleen is that person. Wow, that is all I can say. Must be nice!

Okay.... after Level 2

Kathleen is sitting with $34,000 thanks to a huge hand with Mark Seif. She absolutely will make tv time, and I'm putting odds on the hand being the Degree All In moment.

Kathleen limps in with AAs, Mark S. is in the hand, small blind calls, big blind checks. Flop comes 9,9,8. Mark bets out, Kathleen calls.

Turn is an Ace. Both check.

Flop is a blank..... Mark bets out, Kathleen raises to $10k which will put Mark all in. He hems and haws and takes an extremely long time then calls.

He turns over pocket 9s, showing trip 9s. Her boat sends him packing... in the 2nd level.

You KNOW that hand is gonna make the show.

Something is not quite right about either the flop or Mark's hand. If he indeed had pocket 9s, then he had quads, according to the board.

At any rate, she booted him out. Wow....nice job!

She did sign a contract, and I don't know when they pay her. I'll ask on the next call.

Ok... after 3 level

She has $40,000 in chips and they're headed to the dinner break.

Question 1: What was Mark Seif's 2nd hole card? She doesn't remember!

Question 2: How does Poker Stars pay out? Poker Stars is going to put $10k into her Poker Stars account. If she makes it to another feature table, they will pay her $10k for that day too.

If she makes the final table, she gets a minimum of $100k. They want her to wear their stuff all week, so they are sending a duffle full of clothing, etc. to her hotel room.

The ESPN director has told the table that they will film for the entire 12 hours, but the footage will be edited down to an hour that will include other scenes as well.

They've already started some of the interviews, and are focused on her WSOP 4th place finish last year in the Ladies Event.

She's so excited and feels very fortunate.

Since the next update would be in 3 1/2 hours, and it's a work day tomorrow, I'll be posting additional updates in the morning. She's going to leave me messages on each break.
