Bad Beats Poker Club - Season #5

The game is Texas Hold'em, no limit, $75 buy-in, no rebuys, 7,500 starting chips, 30-minute blind levels with antes. We have two tables of ten players each, plus two alternates for a maximum of 22 players per game.

We'll do our best to set up a schedule that doesn't interfere with other local poker tournaments, such as the Delaware Poker League and Dublin Poker League. Our games will most likely all be held on Saturdays for this season. The first two dates will be January 26th and February 16th.

These bi-monthly games rotate between Dana's poker room and Scott & Tracy’s poker room. Games begin at 6:30 p.m. sharp, so please arrive around 6:15. If you need to be late, please just call and we’ll blind you in. If you R.S.V.P. that you are playing, it's expected that you come ready to play. No shows are a major inconvenience to others, so if you’re a no show, we’ll remove you from the Evite list.

80% of the money will be paid back each night, with the remainder held back for a Tournament of Champions. 100% of the money will end up being paid back. None is withheld for league fees, etc.

Points will be awarded to everyone who makes the final table as follows.

First place = 1.0 point per player, so 22 players will be worth 22.0 points
Second place = 0.9 point per player, so 22 players will be worth 19.8 points
    Etc.
Tenth place = 0.1 point per player, so 22 players would be worth 2.2 points.

Each player’s ten best scores (out of twelve games) will count towards his/her points total. T.O.C. starting stacks will be 10,000 for everyone.

After we play twelve games, the Tournament of Champions will be held at Scott & Tracy's Poker Room. You must play a minimum of four games this season to be eligible for our T.O.C. There will be free entry for the ten highest ranked players in the league. Those ranked #11 through #15 will be able to buy-in for half price ($125), and the remaining spots will be available for $250 each (minimum of four games played during current season).

We plan to keep the league standings current in this thread.

As of 1:15p, we are sitting at 21 and our max is 22, so yes there is ONE seat left! If you're interested you can post here, and we can add you.

Also, if you (or anyone else) would like to be added to our evite list, please let us know.
We must believe in luck. For how else can we explain the success of those we don't like.

    side game

I'm guessing with 22 players we should be able to get a pretty good side cash game going when one table frees up. eh? Know whatahmean, know whatahmean, nudge nudge, know whatahmean, say no more?

We went ahead and increased the available seats to 24. So we'll have FOUR alternates tonight.

And yes, you're free to start a cash game as soon as we're down to ten players.

    Thumbs up Payouts?

You say you pay out 80% just wondering how many spots that might be and $ amounts?
I play 2/5 off and pocket aces the same exact way!
