    Good daily tourneys in Vegas?

Since I'm not playing my WSOP event until Saturday, but getting there Thurs night, I was planning on playing a lot of cash, but I might also like to play in a tourney. Anyone have any recommendations on daily or nightly tourneys that are good that I should check out? Stacey, I know you did well in that tourney at the Venetian, would that be a good one to check out? What time did it start? Anyone have any other favorites?

If your budget will allow $300-$500 tourneys, just go to either Venetian or Caesars at noon and play in the Deep or Mega stack tourneys.

Caesars and Venetian have $150-$200 nightly tourneys with pretty good structures that start at 8PM. I modeled my league structure around the 8PM Venetian tourney....so it is identical.

If you are looking for smaller dollar tourneys....I'd recommend Orleans at noon. Lots of nitty locals play in those.....they get irate when you 3 bet preflop and dont have aces.....it is quite comical. Bluffing gets you noted as the "hot shot kid" at the table....and they talk about you behind your back....more comedy. But the structure in this one is good too.

You might want to check out Binion's and the Golden Nugget too. Both are running Grand Series events with buy-ins from $110-340.

The Nugget is continuing to run their daily tournaments too which start at 3p, 7p and 1a.

I would love to do the Deep or Mega stack, but the final table for those is held on the following days, meaning that if I do make the final table for one I play on Friday, it would cut into my WSOP event (and I preregistered so I already paid for it). I'll probably end up playing in one of the Caesar's or Venetian tourneys Friday night.

I'll check out the Binions and GN ones online, thanks Dana.

highly recommend the Mega/Deep Stack Tournaments at Caesar's/Venetian

Venetian: Fields have been averaging ~ 200-300 players depending on the day (weekend events get more people obv). Structure is amazing. I played a $1000+60 event and we started with 15,000 chips (25/50 starting blinds) with 60 minute levels. Automatic shufflers as well, which means you get 10-15 more hands/hour. Payout structure is very solid as well.

Caesar's: Fields have been averaging ~ 500-600 players depending on the day. Structure is still very good, but not as good as the Venetian. I played a $340 event and a $230 event and started with $12,500 and $7,500 in chips respectively (50 minute levels and no automatic shufflers).

Payout structure is very top heavy (45% of prize pool went to 1st and 2nd in a 500 player tourney) and blind structure is kinda weird (antes do not start until the 600/1200 level and once they do, they double the size of the pot). However, the players are soooooo BAD, so it should be really easy to accumulate chips early.

In regards to the Day 2 FT, you are able to unregister for WSOP events up until noon on the day of the event for any reason and get your full buy-in back in cash with no hassle. If you are lucky enough to get to a FT where you are guaranteed a 4 figure payout, I am sure you will not be as disappointed that you are missing the WSOP event.

I completely agree about that Venetian and Caesar's deep stack events. The 40, 50 and 60-minute blind levels are very good. If I lived in Vegas, I'd play one of these every day of the week.
