Windows Vista vs Windows 7

You guys I currently have windows vista and I tried windows 7 and fell in love with it. Im sure alot of you guys have computers im just wondering what people think about vista vs windows 7 . Like your dislikes and likes about both systems

Windows 7 rocks.
I've had my laptop dual booting and W7 wins every parameter.

Windows Vista was horrible it was really just a downgrade from XP. Most businesses never went to Vista and a LOT of people that were buying Vista machines were begging Microsoft to let them "upgrade" to XP.

I was thinking of buying it but it's still fairly expensive and all. Fortunately Vista has helped me make the decision by freezing a couple times in the last week. I plan on buying the basic version sometime soon.

Where is the best place to buy it, are prices equal all over the place? Better to buy it on a cd than online? I have never upgraded like this but this is clearly time for an exception.

My friend from work just gave a disk with windows ultimate 7 and told me to install and to download and activiation code and it worked I payed him for letting me have it. I can give it to you for free but im not sure if you want to

glad to hear the good reviews, 1 year ago i purchased the 2nd most powerful vaio laptop available, unfortunately it came with vista. For the last 6 months i have not even been able to do the windows update and many files are corrupted. The comp will freeze up on occasion and a few other pre installed windows programs are out of date and do not function at all. I had contemplated purchasing a new vaio and after looking at the website i see the one of i have is still currently the 2nd best available and more then able to handle windows 7, so i will be picking this up ASAP.

in fact this vista is soo terrible, like i cannot even get the new .net framework package that is needed to run the newest versions of HEM so its nice to see a better OS available.

fortunately, the last notebook I bought was after Vista was out long enough that most of the computer manufacturers were offering free downgrades to XP, which I gladly took. Now I'm looking to buy a new desktop for the home office and am glad to hear that Windows 7 is a huge improvement.

Don't buy a new computer to get Windows 7 if you already have Vista. Any computer surviving with Vistas terrible amount of bloat will cruise with 7, plus upgrading is super fast and easy. I recommend just purchasing the online version and saving your activation code.

Pirating it is pretty easy but I don't mind paying for something when I respect the product / company.
