I'm interested in reviews/opinions on these books, particularly from people who've read both his tournament books and these new ones. Are the cash game volumes as well written and useful for cash games as the originals were for tournaments?

I do not think I have read the cash game books so I am interested in responses as well.
I thought the books on tournaments were very well written and interesting reads.
"You have it in your power to turn a bad-beat around simply by realizing this simple truth: The more bad beats you encounter, the luckier you are. It's a sign that you are playing against opponents who continually take the worst of it, and if you can't beat someone who always takes the worst of it, you can't beat anyone"

i read the tournament books and liked them alot, & I am currently in the process of finishing the 1st cash game book and I have the 2nd one waiting.....I really liked these books alot and would recommend them to any cash game player
I've read them and thought they were very good, and about as structured and readable as his tournament books, so if you liked his other series, you'll like these as well. These are books that I would never loan to anybody, as I suspect I'll reread them at least once a year, which is what I've done with his tourney series, which are pretty dog-eared now.
Ive read volume 1 and would recommend it. I havent read his other books so cannot compare them. Only thing is I only play 6 seat tables and this book is for a full ring game. If you play full ring cash games Id say it was a must buy.

read them both and they are a must read.
i think they were definitely worth reading, especially for lower limit players and for converted tournament players but that they definitely were not near to the level of the HOH tournament series (which are still the best poker books ever IMO)
it has been awhile since i read them, but i just remember them being pretty boring as he doesn't really introduce any new concepts and basically advocates a weak/tight vanilla playing style which would work fine at lower limits but would get you run over at anything above 2/4
