    Wink Chris Ferguson's Tells

I got to play with 'Jesus' for about four hours on Saturday in Event #13. I was sitting there smiling and stacking chips from the third guy I had busted, when Ferguson sat down to take his place. 'Guess it wasn't too smart to bust that last guy, huh buys?' I said...

Anyways, the man is completely 'tell-free'. I have a habit of always watching my opponent as the flop comes out. I think it only took me about two hands against Chris to realize just how pointless this really was. So after that, I just watched the flop.

Also, I couldn't see much good in trying to outplay him after the flop, so I just decided that if I liked my chances I would push, if I didn't I would check-fold. On one hand I raised Chris' big blind with:

He called, like he does 80% of the time, then checked to me on a board of:

I thought there was a strong likelihood that I was ahead, and not much chance he could call without a pair and flush draw. I also didn't have enough chips at the time to be able to afford a check-raise from Chris. So I pushed. That was definitely a nervous moment, as it was the only time I was all-in during the first twelve levels of play.

Sounds like a great play to me. There is very little chance you will outplay him after the flop, so take away his advantage with an all in. As you said, without something like Ac Kx, he can't really call.

Nice! I hope I get to play with him or some other big name. I don't care about making a move against those guys, I want to make a hero call.

    Any two cards...

    Ferguson act

I love how he always takes like 3~5 seconds pause right after looking at his cards. However, I like to watch ppl as flops come out too, and I've noticed that Ferguson sometimes take little bit too long when he gets AA or KK. I 've seen this on ESPN, but could be wrong folks. Plus, we all know the hand range of ferguson... its unlikely he's gonna show you 47 suited...

What an awesome comparative clip! I think it should be mandatory for every aspiring poker player to watch the first 15 seconds of that video.

I am still at the stage that it takes the fun out of the game to move or vary that little. I do practice that in a big game.....but not in the littles ones. I believe Chris is one of the very best, a hall of famer of poker.
