Need poker dealers - central Ohio

Some of you may have heard that Eli and I are starting a poker club. Well, it's true!!! Without going into a lot of details, things are falling into place and we will be opening in the next few weeks.

Our club is going to be located in Marysville and we wil be open 6PM till 7AM, 7 days a week. We will open earlier on Saturday and Sunday for special events and once football season starts. Our tournaments will start at 7PM sharp.

If you are interested in dealing or know somebody who might be then shoot us an email: [email protected]

    Pleas include:
    - name
    - phone number
    - hours you can work
    - tell us a little about yourself... poker history, dealer experience, why you would make a good dealer

Dealers will be volunteers working for tips only. No kickbacks or rake on the tips. We've heard of other clubs doing this to their dealers and that will never happen with us.

If you have any questions then give us a shout.
    Shane

Congratulations guys! Have any more details about the club yet? Give us the scoop. How many tables will you have? What made you pick Marysville? That's a great location for me - not far and no traffic Good Luck with it!

Thanks Holly! Columbus is too saturated with clubs. Marysville is kinda like a hub with Rt. 36 to Delaware, Rt. 38 to London, Rt. 4 to Marion, Rt. 31 to Kenton and Rt. 33 to Bellefontaine and Dublin. I've worked at a couple clubs and we both have been around poker for years so we know what works and what doesn't work. We plan on doing a bunch of advertising and feel that we can pull in players from the surrounding counties. We're also going to have a $1000 freeroll for our grand opening!

As for the club itself, we are going to have 10 tables, a pool table, darts, foosball, ping pong, video games, chess, checkers, etc. I'm in the process of making the tables and will probably make some smaller 4ft round tables for tonk, gin, euchre, with the leftover material. The ceiling is high in the space which will allow us to use a video projector to show the Tournament Director on the wall as well as sporting events.

What's cool about our location is the space beside us is vacant so we can rent it out for special occasions. We plan on doing this for our Grand Opening and figure we can host between 250 to 300 players.

We'll know more this week what our schedule is going to be like but for now it looks like the middle of June is when we'll be having the grand opening. I'll post more once we finalize things.

Definitely not a fly by night deal.

We had some holdups with the city but have put that behind us and are moving forward. We are currently working on construction and meeting occupancy requirements with the city. We had hoped to be much closer to opening at this point, but things happen when you have to wait on services of others.

If you are interested in dealing, please contact myself or Shane.

No, this definately did not die out. We can get a permit right now which will allow us to have 14 people in the club.... which really doesn't do us any good. To get a permit that will allow us 100 players, we need to build a second bathroom and therein lies the problem. We're having issues with our current contractor and so we're in the process of switching to a new one.

Most of the tables have been built, the custom ceramic cash chips have been delivered along with the tournament chips, cards, dealer buttons, ect., and the website is 90% complete. We still need to finish up the box and a few other small details.

It's been a challenging process to say the least but we're hoping to have it wrapped up in the next couple of weeks or so.
