    Exclamation Let's talk about Bodog

With the three biggest sites pulling out of the U.S. market, and Bodog openly soliciting U.S. customers, let's talk about the possibilities of playing on Bodog as a temporary fix.

    Who has recent experience there?

How difficult is it to deposit there?

How user friendly is their software?

    Does Sharkscope HUD work there?

How about PokerTracker and/or Holdem Manager?

How many tables can be played at once there?

How does their Sunday schedule look?

How difficult is it to withdraw?

    Anything else we should consider?

Started a separate thread for that discussion.

I play there some. I haven't deposited since 2005. The software is pretty nice and easy to use. No idea about sharkscope and HEM but poker tracker works. I think you are limited to four tables at a time but I'm not positive. They don't have very many big tourneys but that has been getting cut back a lot since UIGEA, before that they had a lot more. I also have not withdrawn since 2008 so I'm not sure how difficult it would be. Other things to consider is that you can't transfer money to people and there's no rewards program, but you can cash in FPP for cash.

    Who has recent experience there?
Bodog is where I began playing online poker. I profited a few thousand through SNGs and small MTTs before moving to Full Tilt. Overall, my experience there was a good one. I moved to the other sites because I knew I needed more volume, and Bodog was just too small. Sometimes it would take an hour to fill a $50 9-man NLH SNG. So I haven't played there much recently, most of my experience there was from 2007-2008.

How difficult is it to deposit there?
From what I remember, my debit cards always worked. If they didn't I know of friends who tried Visa gift cards which would allow you to get money on the site. When I withdrew, I had to email/fax them a picture of my license AND debit card. Overall, not difficult to deposit a small amount of money, though I never deposited more than a $100 or so myself. I think they have pretty good deposit bonuses, at least initially.

How user friendly is their software?
Pretty horrendous if you ask me now looking back on it.. but then again they may have improved since 2008. As with all poker sites, I think you get used to the software after a while.

    Does Sharkscope HUD work there?
Looks like sharkscope.com tracks only Bodog SNGs right now.. no MTTs. I dunno if the Sharkscope HUD is allowed on Bodog. I didn't know of that stuff in my time there. But my guess is that it would if it became the next major US poker market, everything would become tracked.

How about PokerTracker and/or Holdem Manager?
I think Pokertracker works with Bodog too not sure about HEM.

How many tables can be played at once there?
It was 4 before which is obviously awful.. I'll check

How does their Sunday schedule look?
As I remember it wasn't too bad.. they had a lot of small guarantees. The biggest one was only a $110 $100K guaranteed before. Not sure what has happened since I left obv these things are always changing but poker's been growing, right?

How difficult is it to withdraw?
Think I already answered that one. It's pretty similiar to the others.. I hear lots of stories of checks taking months and then bouncing. But it worked for me and a few of my friends.

    Anything else we should consider?
The leaderboards used to offer cool incentives but and the players used to be extremely fishy, but possibly only as a result of the whole 4-table thing and the fact that some of the software add-ons didn't used to work. And we should probably consider all of the legal stuff that may or may not be happening.
