I wanted to urge everyone who plays poker to check out, and consider joining, the Poker Players Alliance, if you have not already done so. This is a group dedicated to protecting and expanding the legality of poker, both on- line and live. They do this by lobbying local and national elected officials, monitoring proposed laws against poker, and promoting poker in the media. The chairman is a former Congressman, Al D'Amato, and they now have over 800,000 members, with 1 million being the threshold at which a group really commands attention in Washington.
