Full Tilt Checks for USA Players

    Hello all,

I'm sorry if this topic has already been covered but a search of the forum didn't produce an answer to my question specifically.

I heard a rumor that Full Tilt cashouts in the form of a check were running into problems in the United States. I have cashed out by check before with no problem, but it's been a while and I wanted to make sure everything was kosher before I proceed.

Does anybody know what the latest is on this isssue? (as of Dec. 9, 2009) Have any of you in the USA used the cashout-by-check option within the last few weeks either successfully or unsuccessfully? Please let me know if you feel its safe to go ahead and cashout by check in the USA!

    Thanks,
    Jack

A friend of mine told me that at the bottom of his Fifth-Third (bank) statement it said they were no longer accepting checks or deposits from online poker sites or their affiliates.

You should be ok because no where on the check does it mention Full Tilt or "poker" for that matter.

In fact, FT attempts to disguise their checks as payroll checks by adding a random cents on to them (at least in my recent experience).

Last time I tried to do direct bank xfer though, it was down. (Not premium because I don't wanna pay fee)

It's a sign that you are playing against opponents who continually take the worst of it, and if you can't beat someone who always takes the worst of it, you can't beat anyone"

I'm not sure but i requested a check about a week ago and should receive it soon, so I shall find out soon enough and let you know if I have any problems. However after using premium wire transfers for the last 5 months I have had my most recent one rejected in addition to receiving a call from the bank inquiring about its origin.

your best bet is to not use checks, use premium wire. my last one said something along the lines of 'commision payment'

OK, thanks for the input everyone. I think I am going to wait to hear how Kevin's check-cashing experience goes. If it goes without a hitch I'll probably take my chances with the check.

Kevin, would you be so kind as to PM me or reply to this thread when you find out one way or the other?

    Thanks
