Live Session Record?

This past weekend, I spent 45 hours straight at the Hollywood. I started by playing in Thursday's $550 event. After I busted out, I played some BlackJack and slots until the 8:15pm Nightly tournament. After I busted out of that, I spent the next 36 hours playing $1/$3 and $2/$5 NL. During this span, I took maybe 2 extended (1 hr) breaks to eat and change clothes/freshen up. I also stepped away for about 10 minutes every 2 hours to pee and drop in on Scott's action.

When I finally left on Saturday at 9 am, I was physically tired, but I felt pretty good mentally.

This made me wonder what the record is for a live cash session? I found one post on Pocket Fives that said an individual saw a guy quit after 60 hours when chasing after the 76 hour record.

Most people said that their longest live session was at most 30 hours.

Does anybody know what the record is and know of any links to the related?

That is one long ass grind.. But did you make money??? And how much? Otherwise it is pointless right?

I won about $2,000 from the cash games. Although I started my session down about $1,000.
Not bad for mostly playing $1/$3 NL.

I was thinking about a prop bet with some people. In the back of my mind I think it would be fun to go after a realistic world record, depending on the stipulations. I know for sure that a British pro set a record playing HU for 76 hours. I wonder if I can get some sposonships if I make a run at the record. How much would 5 Hour Energy be willing to fork over if I wear some apparell and publicly down a bottle every 5 hours? At the very least I should be able to get some room comps. Shouldn't I?

There are usually plenty at the casino. Unless you mean prop bet wise. In that case, I am open to suggestions.

I just read the following in Phil Laak's article, in the April 2010 issue of Bluff magazine...

It ended up being a 60 hour session. I have done some long sessions in my life, but this one was about as good as they come. Maybe one of these days I should focus my degen powers and just capture the Guinness record for the longest poker session ever. It currently stands at 72. (I have heard of longer, but as far as it being documented and recorded by the boys at Guinness I guess it stands at 72. Hmmm, food for thought.)

Ive Definnetly sat in place awake and focused for muuuuch longer than 72 hrs, not playing poker, because im sure id be out of money by then... but playing a Certian Video Game thats Extremly dorky, Very addictive, and hugely popular... lol
