Many of my old HH files are DEAD .txt files.

They do NOT open, I CANNOT move them to another folder, I cannot delete them. I tried sending them as an email attachment and received an error message. All of them are from before May 10 2008 when the summary files started being written, but some of the older ones work. The majority do not. Does anyone have any ideas about this or has anyone experienced a similar problem?
