I think, unless someone watches you play and can see a good sample of the cards you have in the hole, and not just those shown down, they can't really make an assessment on how well you play. I've lost count of all the players who have told me I am a bad player because I've got a negative ROI over my first 200 or 300 games. Now that I've got a positive ROI and one good tournament under my belt, I am being told I just ran good!
Poker players are such a competitive bunch.
You know what I would love to see on FT? Replays of large tourneys so we can see how other players play their hands. Of course, that doesn't serve to conceal their game but it gives us a fascinating insight into how they play. The televised pros have their hole cards shown and they seem to handle it okay. I'd love to see how a Lappin, Kennl, or Scott plays by viewing their hole cards on a replayed tourney.
