Sick Month How about you guys?????

So I stopped playing recreational about the middle towards the end of july of this year. Originally I wanted to focus on 9 man sngs. Well I met my coach (low limit grinder which I respect very much) and he gave me the rundown for 90 man sngs on full tilt. So I started to grind them out. Started out fairly well I guess for a beginner with a 8% roi over 3-400 games. Learned the shoves, resteal shoves, final table play etc..... If was running normal I would cash at least one table out of 24. Throughout the course I had a lot of internet difficulties, T ninja crap so I wasn't able to say 100% was my bad play. Well this month was a disaster, shove spots busted, coin flips didn't hold up. I was really down on myself so to speak. I spoke with my coach and he said lots of good players had a hard month even he did. I am just a beginner so variance hits me a lot harder than most good players. Just went on a 69 buy in downswing at the 3 dollar level. What about you guys???? How was this month for you. Good or bad????????

this month has been horrible for me. mainly jus running bad and it doesnt help that I've been playing alot of mtts along with 90men. So even if I have a good day I'm just ending up even at the end of it. So my plan for next monthis to play no guarentees apart from the miniftop events.

My form in 90men has been up n down. When I came back from Vegas in July I had a 2k downswing. I managed to get that all back now but still feel i could run a lil better. Like today for instance I played 46 90men since i've been up. I only cashed in 3 of them. Some of the pots I was losing was a joke and I could'nt win a race late on. Jus goes that way sumtimes and u have to take the rough with the smooth.

Hopefully September wil be good for us! GL

Yeah I am not getting back to the tables until I review all my games. I went through about 10 of them last Friday and got sick of seing all the bad beats so I gave up went out and did something different this weekend now I can get back and see the carnage deal with it learn from it and move on to September.

i have played 2300 games this month. i was down/breaking even for the first 1500, i am down over 700 games in 45m, just keep coming back and playing, volume is the cure to variance. i am up 18k on the month now, just keep playing, if youre the favorite it turns around. getting "sick of bad beats" doesnt really do much.. just keep playing, laugh when they bink on u and reload another table..

Thx for the advice it helps a lot. I am not up to volume as much as i should because the downswings keep braking my roll. Soon I should break through. You guys have experience good optimal play and know how to handle downswings a lot better than me so I shouldn't complain too much.

This shouldn't happen. Make sure you're playing over rolled..especially if ur just starting out in 90's or 45's. The downswings WILL hit u a bit harder, and u need to be prepared for that.

I personally like playing with 150+ buy ins at a certain level. Get an ample roll for the games, and grind the shit out of them. You'll be pullin' in the monies in no time.
