The Worst Beat/Cooler I've Ever Had

Ok, so a few weeks ago I'm playing .25/.50 NL cash at our regular home game. I realize this is smaller than your C-bus cashies but please read on, I've got broke friends. This hand comes up a few hours into the game:

Villain # 1 ($30ish stack - HYPER AGGRESSO) raises to $2 in the cutoff.

I'm in the small blind ($50ish stack, playing LAG) with and just call knowing Villain #1 will call any reraise in position with ATC.

Villain # 2 ($80ish stack - a good LAG player) also calls from the BB.

    Flop - <-------- BINGO!!!!

    I check, Villain # 2 checks, and surprisingly Villain # 1 DOESN'T continuation bet.

    Turn -

    I check knowing Villain #1 will fire here, Villain # 2 checks, Villain # 1 bets $4

I think this through and decide there is no card I should be scared of on the river. Villain #1's flop check throws out an over pair, and if he's got a 3 we're playing a big pot regardless.

I just call, and Villain # 2 calls as well (obvious 5 IMO).

    River -

I really like this card as I think Villain #2 now has 5s full of 3s and will stack off to me. I think and lead for $8

Villain # 2 thinks for quite awhile and raises to $20

    Villain # 1 quickly folds.

I quickly shove in for roughly $20 more and Villain # 2 quickly calls.

I stand up and slam down my 8s over 5s and pump my fist in celebration.

Villain # 2 looks at my reaction in amusement for 2 or 3 seconds and rolls over...

    <---- BRUTAL!

Yes very sick.. It helps to post these and move on.... I have had a terrible run tonight.. I have lost in a sick sick manner in a matter of a few hours AK vs. AQ (2X), JJ vs. 55, KK vs. 77 (QUADS vs. FH on the flop) AK vs. 23 (after hitting top two on the flop)....

Actually do to my overreaction with showing the eights, I probably deserved the slowroll.

I once gave someone a similar beat. A little sketchy on the details, but I pushed with my 44 into a pot of 9xx, hoping that my opponent missed the flop, but he turned over 99. Turn and river came 4, 4, and I survived.

This one still ranks as one of the worst in my book..
