LOL, I have had people JUST CALL me with the nuts before, but never just call with quads. Even the worst of the worst should realise they are ahead there, what the hell are these people doing with $600 at a poker table. I would love to live by the Gemini.

lol doubt it. Before you even know, you'll be grinding monday, tuesday, wednesday, and so on. Just grind at night times after school. Esp, you are cash player, your schedule should be very flexible, since you can end ur session whenever you want.

Glad to see my ramblings will be missed by at least 1% of this forum

I'm thinking about making Sunday my poker day. Have it so I'm not allowed to touch chips, open up stars or carbon, look at a poker forum or book, or do anything related to poker until sunday. Then maybe set aside some money so I can start playing some of the sunday majors for fun, bust some donks in some ring games, and post away one day a week (maybe every other sunday)

This is devastating news to me my friend as you are by far my favourite poster. You have helped my game as much if not more than ANY book or any other poster (sparx is too close to call). I find our different styles (me cautious you aggresive) and different thinking on hand plays a learning experiance every hand that is posted. As I have said before if you can play poker for profit only and not get carried away by certain higher stakes challenges with yourself you can make a fortune. Pot control is definitly something you need to work on but as for trapping, with your loose aggresive stlye it does not need to be incorperated into your game as people think your bluffing half the time anyway. Forget trapping and continue getting the max out of your hands, when you actually have them. Good luck at college and I hope you dont stay away from the forum too long, you are one of its biggest assets......... A very dissapointed Penguin

I like this thought process, I think every player will struggle to handle it the way you thought it through. But it really makes sense, in a twisted way.

    That's quite a report!

    I bet a 100bb/100 winrate is possible.
I wonder if anyone has actually kept records over a decent sample size of playing cash at Gemini?

That 53 hand is insane. Balls of steel sir.
Haha. Probabally the worst hand of poker I have ever played. I learned that when you put somebody on the range of JJ+, 4bet bluffing is not the best option lol.

The funniest part was that he timed down so much wanting to fold before he just kinda went "Eff it" and went all in.

Then the chat at the table afterwards was hilarious.

I did miss it I had to go to work, congratulations on being the 1st player I have EVER watched play poker on the internet. My laptop was running a little slow and I could only play 1 table without it freezing so I watched you. You are super brave to be entering these games and you have a very clever style. You make players uncomfertable and only the best are going to beat you hds up in the long run.

oops, i tried to quote your comment and ended up just posting this in yours.

Online cash game. I hear players say that a few years ago holdem games were so soft even at the midstakes that if you just practiced very solid preflop hand selection you'd almost be guarenteed crush the games. That's kinda how omaha is now. When you sit at a table, half of the table is playing any 4 cards any position.

Thank you both for your comments. I agree that the best way to succeed is to constantly strive to be less terrible than you are at the moment. I'm going to put ways of improving all 10 under each one as soon as I think of them.

Glad you saw my 5k disaster to Jerry. You musta missed the final hand of the session lol. http://www.badbeatspoker.net/forum/b...ha-nutzzz.html

    4. Im too aggresive at times, lol this may be the most underated statement I have ever heard.
    7. If you did just concentrate on making money, your earnings have the potential to be incredible.
    8. I too get uncomfertable playing over 200 bbs, its exciting poker but I know exactly what you mean.

I watched you play hds up $5-$10 the other day and it was exciting stuff to say the least. You where losing on this occasion but imop getting pretty unlucky. Horrible river 6 came down to give your opponent 2 pair when you had AQ top top. That hand was massive swing in the game. I think its important for you to dodge the best of the best hu and concentrate on making money. Good luck on your ever exciting journey

Within 1 week of playing omaha for the first time I made more money in omaha than 1 year of holdem.
I've heard other people say this as well. Was this live or online? And in SNGs or cash games?

Player I have taken the most money from is a a guy I won't name on carbon who I have played hu regurly since march and I am up 7k on. He stopped playing me last week after he called me a scam artist.
Ha ha ha. I love it!

    Great post for sure!

From my experience, people who make the effort to identify their own weaknesses, and develop a game plan to fix them became more successful than nearly all other people.

I've seen this in all aspects of life, and it's my mantra as well.
