Ok so I woke up this morning minus headache, which was great. I stayed up watching Dave play in the 32k. I was in it, but went out 300somethingth out of 1400+. I was playing so solid for awhile, but then had to make some huge laydowns that took me for a lot of chips. I finally push with pocket 9s and get pushed over the top of....so I know I'm in trouble. Everyone else folds and the dumbass has queen 9 of diamonds. THAT is the hand he chooses to come over the top with.....nevermind ...
I wish I had had more time for reading today, because things got heated on the boards...and of course I was slammed finishing up grades. I was highly amused by all that I DID read though. Love hearing people fight about how great they think they are and how everyone else can just kiss their ass basically....but again, opinions are like assholes...everyone's got one. I woke up with another horrible migraine. Don't know what's going on there, but it's probably pain ...
I am now on student #207 on grades...as you can see, I've gotten real far.... Only in such an F'ed up state can we have a beautiful 67 degree and sunny day on a Monday and then have THIS crapass day 2 days later. YUCK. I did tell my job yesterday that I won't be back next year. So that was pretty huge. After 7 years of teaching, I am retiring (aka resigning) and moving on to greener pastures. I have exactly 3 months from today. It's a weird but ...
I am plugging through grade cards today. I have to do grades for 474 kids. I am on #108 right now....I have a long road to hoe.... The best part is I have to type a comment for each student. There is a list to choose from, but they're really stupid comments. And anyone who knows me knows that my 2 cents has to be included in just about everything, so I'm typing my own comments. It is amazing how, even when life is not at its best, the presence of sun and a warm(er) temperature can make things seem so much better. I woke up this morning, sore from working out and just generally not in the mood to go to work...but when I let the dogs out, I see that it is already quite mild and sunny outside. And instantly, I'm ready to go and have a better attitude about EVERYTHING. And this is the reason I won't be living here much longer ...
