So after a stunning Friday night cash game, I decide I'm ready to roll myself in some weekend tournaments. Although Sunday didn't turn out so hot (finished 6th in a 26 person Red Rock that only paid 4 spots), Saturday night was interesting...

The plan was to go to Caesar's and play the 9pm bounty tournament. However, we encountered some seriously Effed up Vegas weekend traffic, so I suggested the 10pm Treasure Island tourny instead. It's not the best....$65 buy in, 3500 in chips, 20 min levels. Unlimited rebuys for the first hour. Lots of drunk people. But it was something to try out.

So, I only bought in once. Mind you, this was a 2 table tournament, but ended up with 37 players. Yep, that's how many rebuys there were. I did NOT rebuy. I was in on ONE $65 buy in and I just played smart, played position, played on my reads and donkey dodged my way to the final table. At which point, I just really opened up and made some great plays and great folds and correct reads that led me to heads up.

Once heads up, we battled it out for about half hour and then decided once we were even to go ahead and chop it. It ended up being roughly $600 each. So on a $65 buy in tournament that lasted 3 hours, I'll take it And I would play it again. It seemed like such short levels and short stack on paper, but it played pretty decently. Apparently they also have a 7pm tournament Fri-Sun called the Headhunter tourny, if you enjoy bounty tournaments and I think the buy was like $125 and it was a $50 bounty on each person.....that's pretty hefty, I'd give it a try.
