Please stop reading this blog, its getting embarassing to write. Another poor month, this is three in a row now, co-insiding with me calculating my hourly rate (coincidence?) I doubt it. At least there is an excuse for this months troubles, I have been bonus chasing and will be next month also. When PKR offered me the choice of my bonus up to $600 I had no hesitation and went for the maximum. However this has been a big mistake, $400 I would clear comfertably playing $50nl. After a lazy start to the month though I was way behind on my bonus and was forced into playing $100nl at the worst times of the day, only playing the regs. This worked out fine in week one and two as the regs on PKR are nothing special but after running a little bad and playing decent players I was hit hard on week three. Good news is Im slightly ahead on my bonus now with a month to go and Ive dropped back to $50nl with a chance of completing my bonus at this level. During this and last month I have reflected a lot on what I want out of the game and any serious play is now over. Once February of next year is over poker will be seriously winded down by me. Im close to starting a family, my wife is totally sick of hearing about poker and I havent done the garden or decorated my house at all this year. Poker has consumed me and I want out, I will still play a little but next year will have no $ goal. Ill just play when I want to play, not feeling I HAVE to play. I will also take all the beat $200nl pressure off myself, I can destroy $50nl at times sometimes feeling no player can touch me at this level and I can beat $100nl though a mile away from crush it. So I will eat a little humble pie and stop progressing and just take my profits at the lower more safe stakes. To be great at poker you have to put the time in and all your effort and I have lost a bit of that love for the game you need to do this. Anyway, back to September, the first few days where $50nl the rest of the month $100nl almost all the play was early in the morning due to my shift patterns basically playing grinders all month.

September consisted of 4 weeks.
Week 1. +$280 Bit of $50nl then realised no way could my bonus be completed at these stakes.
Week 2. +$390 Considering Im only playing regs, things are going very well.
Week 3. -$650 Great, Im break even for month. Few regs seem to realise a good way to play against me is check raise the river I do think I run a little bad this week also though.
Week 4. +$390 Finally a few hands hold up and at least I finish my week in profit.

September + $410

October will surely be a much better month, for a start that bonus has to be completed. This bonus (which I regret putting at $600) will again force me to play ever spare minute but most play should be at $50nl due to last months hard work.
