Question Call short-stack all-in with one overcard on board?

W.S.O.P. Main Event - 100/200 blinds - I have ~ 23,000 chips and my opponent was short-stacked with ~ 3,000. I've won seven pots in a row this level and my confidence level is very high. Seven in a row meaning I won the last seven that I played. Quite a little run!

Anyways, I raised to 600 from UTG with:

My short-stacked opponent from Michigan called and everyone else folded. There were 1,500 chips in the pot when the flop came:

I bet 800 and he went all-in for 1,675 more after pretending to be pretty close to folding first.

What would you put my opponent on here? And would you call his all-in raise?

I'm not sure I like this guy's preflop calling with 66 for 600 when he only has about 2400 behind. He basically called 20% of his stack on a small pocket pair......

So I suppose when he does this, I am certainly NOT putting him on 6s or 3s. I might put him on AA or KK, and the fact that he didn't shove it preflop screams monster hand to me, that he is hoping you'll put a few more chips in the pot for him to devour.

Just my 2 cents. I don't know if I make the call or not to be honest. Still stuck on this one.

I have to agree with Stacy, I think you are beat and even though its not much more to call I would 100% fold to what I believe is aa kk or ak.

He basically convinced me to call with his pretend folding act, and he showed a flopped set:

I had just reached my new high point in chips the hand before, and everyone knows that I can't stand having too many chips in front of me.

He is making a terrible play by calling 25% of his stack with a pocket pair unless he willing to commit on any flop.

With that being said, I can definitely justify folding here just because your draw is so horrible, and dont believe someone very possibly faked tells. One would have to believe he has at least top pair.

I agree, I never thought he could possibly have 66 because he shouldnt have called the raise. If he was going to play it he might as well have just gone all in there and then.

It looks like he was going for a stop-n-go, then held up when he made a set. I don't mind the play if he was going to move in on any flop. If he would fold some of the time after the flop, then it's a pretty terrible call. Honestly, the check-raise looks like a monster hand, because of the pot odds he's giving you to call. He wouldn't do that with any hand that doesn't beat two tens.

I was first to act after the flop, so I bet out and then he raised all-in...

ah...for some reason I assumed he was a blind...then his play is especially bad because you raised UTG...

This is the only way to justify the play but I really do not think this was his plan...
