    strategy 90 man ko sngs

I usally play mtts but now I startet playing 90 man ko sngs on ftp. I feel there a huge swings in these and I might have to change my strategy. I know there are a lot of good players in this forum that play a ton of ko sngs on ftp.Do you play these sngs different than normal mtts?

I take a somewhat different approach than others I think. Most on this forum play the 20+ 90 mans, so most of the advice you will get will be concerning those. So what stakes are you playing? TAG is correct 20+ without a doubt. 12 I loosen up a little (althought this has been debated and Im told I am incorrect) because there are still plenty of horrible players in these that give away chips early. 3 and 6 are donkfests throughout and I play a lot looser preflop (again this is incorrect) in hopes of taking a free stack early.

The swings are big in these. Ive gone on heaters where I final table 50% + in one day, playing quite a bit of them, and other times nothing for awhile. I think my longest stretch was 20-30 games without a cash... So yeah get used to the swings. gl

ive played alot of $3's moved through $6's quickly and am on to $12's... I frequently find myself with 20k plus, with 20 or less players. I tend to limp alot of pots early on and trust my postflop play/reads. I dont like being in a hurry to double up, but wait for the opportunitys to come (strong flops). As the stages progress, i start making a few more plays typically since my table image is tight postflop with strong hands only. Often start 3betting here, raising the button much more, and playing big drawing flops very aggressively. Also, inside the final 40... when i flop huge (even top pair against a 15 bb stack) you can bank on checking and getting a shove or steal bet. I think this is the point of the tourney where i am most profitable. Then inside the final 20, i play premiums from early to mid-pos... and take a lot of races from late pos with short stacks, and try to pick off steal raises (which should be fairly easy to pick up on). Be sure to take these chances if it wont cripple you. This is a good time to get bountys, move closer to the final 9 and pick up a lot of chips.

If my stack gets to 10bb's or less, i look for late pos shoves (suited connectors, any ace, any pair, JT QJ KQ KJ etc...) early to mid pos im looking for ATs+, any pair, KQ KJs

The final table, its all stack and aggression dependent imo... this could take pages. Hope this helps!
