Well, here I am, in my last 17 days of teaching.

Kids start to act wild, I start to lose my patience from all sorts of stress, school related or not. It's not a pretty combo.

Today, I resigned myself from the USA World Showcase singing competition. I petitioned the board of directors to receive my money back. We'll see if that actually happens. One thing is for sure, and that is I won't be in attendance.

Everything that happens to me lately seems to make me ask "WTF?" So since I'm not in much of a blogging mood lately (I know, am I coming down with something? This isn't like me.....), mainly just because I'm slammed busy with EVERYTHING.......I decided to make a list of my favorite recent WTF moments to get anyone who cares, up to speed with me.

Alright, this past month, I debated whether I would carry on with the singing competition or not. I was dying to do it, but things happened, jobs were quit, houses are being sold, plans have changed, etc. I wasn't so sure I was up for it after a couple hellacious months.

Yea, well it turns out that I can't back out and get any money back unless I petition the Board of Directors. And I'll be honest, it would be easier ...

First of all, I was really excited for this event. It was spoken of so highly by the people who attended in February, I couldn't wait to go.

So the drive up there was fine, we brought Pat with us and the 3 of us had a pretty entertaining car ride. There was NO smiley sequence of me killing us to speak of....I got us there alive.

We met Brian, Scott and Dana for a pre-game lunch at Kewpee, a little burger joint in town that was both tasty and super-affordable. Chocolate ...

Strangely, after a few days from absolute hell last week.....I am having a better week than ever right now.

It is amazing how much easier it is to drag one's ass out of bed when a) the weather is fantastic and b) your bedroom blinds have been replaced with a new $10 cheapass set that does not block light for shit. At any rate, I felt rearin to go for the first time in a long time today.

The weekend was very strange...I had two disgusting nights of live poker - first ...
