Vacation or, as I like to call it, torture.

Yea,yea, I said I'd be better at blogging about my trip. But I DO like to mainly keep this blog about poker and to be honest, I haven't had any good runs. In fact, I've hardly had ANY runs, because right now, I'm as broke as an effing joke due to my overzealous sports betting nature.

I have just taken a royal ASS BEATING betting on the first 2 rounds of the tournament. Leaving me with literally next to no money left to survive until Wednesday.

Here have been the highlights of my trip so far.

-Watched ungodly amounts of basketball at the Hilton Theater. There is NO cooler set up (I challenge anyone to find me one) than this for March Madness. An entire theater with HD HUGE ass LED screens and raffles, $1 beers, etc. Satellite wagering station right outside, etc. It honestly doesn't get much cooler than this place....well unless you're winning. Which I wasn't.

-Played $1/2 at the Imperial Dump (where I'm staying) on Thursday night and doubled through very easily after sitting there for about 35 minutes.

-Did I mention how stupid I was with all the sports betting? Just wanted to make sure I emphasize that it's no one's fault but my own. Well, except for those teams who were up by over 20 points and ended up blowing the covers in the last few minutes, or even seconds. I blame them too

-Devised a strategy where I'm going to live in a hotel room for 2 months this summer and how that is actually cheaper than living in my house, after you consider that I won't be paying any electric, water, cable or gas bills and will have my own pool.

-Ate a lot of crap.

-Took an $80 roundtrip cab ride out to Rampart Casino (out in effing Summerlin) to see my friend perform in a lounge show. It was great, don't me wrong, but the casino sucked ass and that was one pricey cab ride for a poor person.

-Played the Sahara poker tournament last night, busted in the first 21 minutes, did my rebuy....busted that in about 6 minutes. And then rebought into the whole tournament as a new player....so stupid...and then ended up back at the very same seat again, feeling like an idiot. Ended up 86 players, 72 rebuys. 1st place was near $1600. I finished 11th for $65 (buy-in back) after a kid with the same size stack as me called my all-in with jack 8. I had pocket sixes and of course the flop has an 8, as does the river. So I cash in a major tournament, and yet I am still down $ since I bought in twice. This could only happen to me.

-Got tanning oil rubbed all over me, fell asleep in the sun, and will now need aloe rubbed all over me

But damn is the weather gorgeous here. I am about to head out to watch the Buckeyes play the next round of NIT, see my friend again in his hotel show at Sahara and attend a singing session at the Stratosphere where I get to jump on stage for talent agents supposedly. Ought to be an eventful night. Tomorrow, going out to look for a condo here, because I absolutely cannot wait for the moment when I come out here....and instead of wishing I didn't have to go back.....I don't have to anymore

And lastly, I will be back on Wednesday, because I sure as shit didn't make enough money (aka NONE) to allow myself to stay through my birthday on Sunday. So looks like the birthday will be spent in CBus. Gross.
