No, not the usual cliche.
I'm talking about the movie. We went to see it Saturday.
The previews of this movie looked funny, and I knew I would like it simply because of the concept and scenery
What I had NO idea about was how extremely hilarious it would actually be. People, this one was non-stop laughs. Hysterical. Plus it has a nice little love story intertwined. And I had just been to the movies earlier in the week to see Made of Honor (see earlier blog for my gripes on this one), and What Happens in Vegas was in my opinion, more realistic.
I won't give away the movie, but Cameron Diaz is involved with this guy who is completely in love with himself and she bends over backward to do these things to make him happy. Well, the guy ends up letting her go, after of course making her feel like she's not good enough for him.
Later in the movie, this guy finds out how good she is doing and that she is perfectly capable of enjoying life without him. And then naturally, he wants her back. But when he realizes how badly he screwed up, and half-heartedly apologizes for being an idiot, it's too late. She gives him the big "screw you." Which was more satisfying to watch then the ending of "Made of Honor." LOL!
Poker....well it didn't go so hot this weekend. I bubbled the points in the badbeats league after my shove with pocket jacks ran into Ace Queen and of course turned an Ace to kill me.
Tried to satellite into FTOPs yesterday and bubbled several of those as well. Utterly depressing. Ended up spending the evening chatting with a great friend about life in general and then spending some reflecting time writing a very lengthy myspace blog.
Starting to pack boxes for departure. I have donated more than 11 bags of "stuff" to Amvets...so clearing out the place is going just as planned. I have 15 days of school left, it'll be gone before I know it.
Not going to Vegas for Memorial weekend anymore now that I dropped the singing competition. So I have rescheduled for the Ladies event. Now I get to spend some time with Dana, Kim and Kelley in yet another chance at a ladies title. I cannot wait!! It's in the mid 90s in Vegas right now...I am excited to bake![]()
